The Pitts Group was originally established as The Pitts Insurance Group in March of 1992. Pitts Insurance marketed primarily life and health products to individuals. With Health Care Reform being a national topic in 1993, Pitts Insurance diversified in the business market offering employers products for their employees to supplement their present package of benefits or help them establish a new package of benefits for their employees.

In September of 1995, Pitts Insurance formed an alliance with Professional Insurance Consultants, Inc. to provide all lines of Property and Casualty Insurance to their existing and new clients. This alliance made it possible to offer all lines of coverage to the clients of Pitts Insurance and Professional Insurance Consultants, Inc.
